All of us have experienced pain and hardship in our life, it is part of the human condition. And, while it is natural to want to heal from these wounds as quickly as possible, the truth is that healing takes time. Patience is required to allow the healing process to unfold in its own way and in its own time.
This can be a difficult lesson to learn, as we live in a world that values quick fixes and immediate gratification. We are bombarded with messages telling us that we should be able to heal from our hurts quickly and easily. However, like recovering from a broken bone, emotional healing often does not happen overnight. Usually, the pain will recede and lose its hold on you. If it doesn’t please have the courage to talk with your doctor.
Your healing process will not be for naught. The experience will allow to help and support others going through similar struggles of their own. You may be surprised to find a level of fulfillment that was not apparent before.
I have learned this lesson through my own experiences of pain and hardship, and it is a message I now feel grateful to share with others.
